The Journey Begins

Congratulations! You have found a blog detailing my mis-adventures as I try to figure out how to make the transition from elementary Art Teacher to Illustrator. Welcome.

To fill you in a bit, I have always dreamt of being an illustrator. So in 2015 I decided that, naturally, my first step should be to resign from my stable career of five years and relocate 800 miles away to the mountains where I plan to be jobless so I can focus on making art. That makes sense right? I'm off to a wonderful start already, clearly. :)
